(Displaying 9 of 11 in my Network) | Entry Category: Default Category Entry Mood: (Sleepy) Published On: 03-03-2008 05:15 AM This weekend been the worse for me with my ****ed up sleeping schedule. I tired as hell and I just got back from my last night hockey rec league (we won 8-3 btw), and as I lie in bed closing my eyes, my head is saying sleep but my body won't listen. I haven't had a good night sleep in a while now. If I do fall asleep its at 6-7am and I wake up at 3pm or later so the whole day is pissed away.
What I do to play the time is been playing NHL 08 a lot lately, created a dynasty with my Oilers and already I'm ****ing with the team that probably won't enough goals to win, traded Raffi Torres for Chris Phillips (hometown boy).
I have been playing Super Mario Galaxy lately and its great, top notch gameplay, the cameraa work gets a little due to gameplay but it's nothing. Currently have over 40 stars, working my way through each galaxy and I love it. Then next week Super Smash Brothers Brawl is coming and that will take every second of my life.
Last note, in the NHL, I'm more ticked off at the Over-time loser point (OTL stat), that's probbaly the worst rule in the game of hockey since the instigator rule for fighting. You lose you should get nothing and now it's creating false parity in the NHL with teams getting those thinking they have a change at the playoffs, when they shouldn't.
I'm done, hopefully a big rock hits my head and I can sleep. Entry Category: Default Category Entry Mood: (Happy) Published On: 02-25-2008 02:08 AM In the centre of the freakin' universe (thank god I don't live there), like there's not enough news from there already about whenever Darcy Tucker took a shit that day or not and how come the superstar Aki Berg isn't on the team anymore. Mats Sundin dropped a bomb on any future hope the team had left by saying he won't waive his no trade clause on Sunday night.
Here's my best and worst cases.
Best case, the leafs would have gotten a lot for Sundin in a trade, likely a 1st round pick in this year's draft, a top notch prospect, a young NHL player and maybe more. Mats goes to the playoffs and finishes the year with a bang, waits until July 1st and signs back on with Leafs for 1 year and then again gets trade once again at next year's deadline and the Leafs get what they want and just like last time Sundin signs with the Leafs to a deal that will see him retire as a Leaf.
Worst case, Sundin pulls what Carlos Delgado did for the freakin' Blue Jays, didn't waive his NTC to give the Jays what they needed at the time, some nice good prospects, and then only "consider" the Jays' offer to get more money from the bidders.
My personal feelings on this I don't feel sorry for Leafs nation one bit, they brought this on themselves to some degree but I will say Good Luck Toronto, you will need it from now on. With Sundin, along with Darcy Tucker, Tomas Kaberle, Pavel "useless' Kubina will say no to waiving their no trade clause now. The Leafs screwed themselves and it won't be fixed until the head office is cleared out.
P.S. this isn't former Leafs' GM John Ferguson Jr.'s fault, he was told what to do and hand out those No Trade Clauses because he wasn't able to do what he wanted from the start and that is a big surprise, REBUILD, 3 years too late Toronto. Have fun sucking for another 40 years.
One more thing, I hope Mats Sudin signs elsewhere come July 1st, just to see what a big mistake the entire head office has done for all those years. Entry Category: Default Category Entry Mood: (Sleepy) Published On: 02-22-2008 05:36 AM here I am at almost 4am in the morning, can't sleep, and have to wake up at 7:30am. Great way to start the day, eh?
After playing NHL 08 on my new 360, with results as kicked Minnesota's ass 7-0 but then got beat by Phoenox 4-1, I'm getting better each day
Yet I'm so behind in my games that I haven't even started Super Mario Galaxy at all, and Guitar Hero 3 is just sitting on my self yelling out "play me you shit-knocker".
Edmonton Oilers play the Dallas Stars tonight, I can't really look forward to this game at all with the history of the Edmonton Oilers blowing games all season and playing down right shitty against Dallas. As an Oilers fan I must suffer because of one gap-tooth traitor who wears dresses.
and Last of all, I'm stuck still trying to figure out how to add to my network.
that about does it for now, until next time for more useless news about me. Sam Gagner shootout goal against Chicago I can't control my birthday That's such a sweet goal by Gagner. You're born on Canada Day? Yes, it's annoying that Brian Burke throws away 2nd and 3rd rounders like nothing, but in the end, who gives a ****? He got rid of previous team leading scorers Sergei Federov, Vinny Prospal, and Petr Sykora, and got better players in their place. You can argue and you'd be correct that their core was put in place by the Ducks' scouts, and not Burke, but as I said before, and correct me if I'm wrong, unless those scouts have been replaced by guys who worked for Burke in Vancouver, I don't buy that Burke will ruin future Ducks' drafts all by himself. Bryan Allen isn't the defensemen he was supposed to be, a good tough 4th defensemen he is but thats it. As for the Sedins, yeah good for him, lucky Atlanta got a bust in Stefan and Burke lucky Chicago had a dumbass GM that took McCabe for their 4th overall pick then later flipped to NYR for something for the 3rd overall pick.
If Burke picks another Bryan Allen in the top 5 this year, it's just better for me.
Brian Burke throws away draft picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds like they mean nothing for players who could have been way cheaper, even got Parros for a 2nd when he was on waivers by COL just the the other day before the trade. and recently paid a 2nd rounder for Brian Sutherby, and isn't he sitting in the press box right now.
And in Anaheim, he walked into a great situation with their young players, but it's still too early to talk about his drafting in Anaheim. Burke's mid-and-late first round picks could have been better, but Bryan Allen ('98) is an underrated defenseman and the Sedins are front-line forwards and were certainly better choices than Patrick Stefan, who was drafted ahead of both. Besides, it's not like the Ducks' scouts are a bunch of guys who worked for Burke in Vancouver.
