Odalis Perez came back from having a root canal early yesterday, only to pitch in the game last night... succeeded in going a respectable 6 1/3 with 3 earned runs... maybe he was numb... maybe the numbness put him in the zone... maybe he was just a bit pissed off about having to go thru that procedure and decided to take it out on the opposing batters... who knows.... but a nice outing for Perez

And a few additional props to Jesus Flores... the part-time catcher popped a nice little grand slam to help clinch the game... his performance so far at the big league level might just land him the opportunity to play more regularly and stay on the ML roster... even with LoDuca returning no too far down the road
