LHP Ray King refused his outright assignment to Triple-A Columbus and elected to become a free agent.
King lost some weight during the offseason and did a solid job against lefties in a dozen appearances with the Nationals, but struggled mightily against righties while posting a 5.68 ERA and 1/4 K/BB ratio in 6 1/3 innings.
The Tigers and Yankees should be looking at him along with a few other teams. Lefties were only hitting .235 against him.



Giants > Padres

Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.70 career ERA, but has won just 29 of his 95 starts.
