Daivd Eckstein and John McDonald injured

Eckstein left the game with a strained right hip flexor and McDonald (after replacing Eckstein) had to be carted off the field with an injured right ankle

Marco Scutaro took over at SS for the rest of the game

In the sixth, Gabe Gross sent a 3-1 pitch bouncing toward the hole between shortstop and third base, where McDonald glided to his right and made a sliding catch to snare the ball. McDonald rose slightly, but winced in pain and fell back to the turf, clutching the back of his right ankle.

I find it quite impressive that both Toronto shortstops can get injured in a span of 2 innings. That's something I've never seen before. Hopefully both are ok, and will be able to return soon, because this is something that no team (especially a team in as tough a division as the Blue Jays) needs.
