it's better than Stewart hitting lead-off and Eckstein hasn't been that good lately

This guy is one of those 5 tool players that can be productive anywhere he hits in the lineup. He hits with power, a great gap hitter, and can move on the bases.

They should have never gotten rid of Reed Johnson. He was a productive lead off hitter for them which would have allowed them to move Rios deeper into the lineup.
But Rios hitting lead off is better than having Wells hitting lead off as he did for a bit last year. |

yes Johnson would have been 100 times better than keeping Stewart
