The Blue Jays begin another season with another manager -- John Gibbons is their third in the last four years. The former catcher brings energy and a good sense of humor to the top spot, but he knows he's only as good as his players play.

He doesn't like the term "player's manager," because of the pushover connotation it brings with it. Gibbons, the son of a military man, knows when to discipline and when to encourage. He'll keep things light, but his players will know when to keep things serious.
