Is it just me or are the Devil Rays asking for to much in return for Lugo.

Right now these are some of the players they are asking for League, Accardo, Marcum, and McGowan. Iunno but too me that sounds like to much. Lugo is what 31 years old and a career .280 hitter. I wouldnt give up any of those arms for him.

What you guys think?

Lugo's always been a nice defender with good speed, now he's a nice defender with great speed and good power, they're perfectly right in asking for one of those guys. Lugo's a 30 year old hitting his prime, and his prime looks to put him as one of the best shortstops in the majors, probably top three or five.

If the Jays acquire him, you'll be on it pretty quick.

Particularly with what Toronto's been parading at short this season.

I don't follow either team and don't pretend to, but if I were the Jays I'd stay away. Lugo certainly hasn't impressed me and any offer started with McGowan or League should be haulted immediately.

Lugo's been, quite arguably (in limited time) a Top 3 SS in the AL behind Jeter and Tejada (and yes, that includes Young this year)

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

Accardo, sure. McGowan and League? You'd have to be crazy.

I think they could actually resign him if they don't get a lucrative package.

Second, I'd slap NYGF because he just seems to have it coming for him. I swear man you wouldn't last 5 minutes in California before you got your ass kicked. So I'd be doing him a service too. -hot corner gurl

Yep. Been a fan through the good and the bad. And maybe we should keep Accardo. After all, when Brian Sabean trades a young pitcher usually they're pretty good!

I think we'll trade McGowan for Lugo and a minor leaguer. Just a gut feeling.

I think the D-Rays are trying to get the max value out of him, because they know he probably will leave for FA in the offseason.
