Hot Seat #61 - cjkalt -
07-22-2008, 01:38 AM
Rules for the Hot Seat
This is something we are continuing on with. One nice aspect of being a smaller forum is building a solid community and getting to know many of the forum posters and here is your chance to get know one another even better!
In The Strike3Forums Hot Seat threads, you may ask the one in the Hot Seat (in this case, cjkalt up to 3 questions. The questions can be about baseball, movies, relationships, whatever.
Please keep the questions appropriate and know that the person in the Hot Seat can refuse to answer any question he or she feels uncomfortable with. You may ask questions for the next week, then the guy in The Hot Seat will answer up to three of your questions.
If you would like to have a chance to be the next one up, post that you would like to and cjkalt will select from the ones interested for who will go next. Or, he'll just select whoever the heck he wants.
Timeframe involved: Just so we know how we are going to do this ... the person in the Hot Seat will be there for about one to two weeks. Questions, such as this thread, will be open for one week and then we will close the questioning so that the poster has time (up to one week) to get some answers together.
Questioning will close Wednesday, July 30th. Answers will then be opened until Wednesday, August 6th.

1. Which makes you sadder: Injuries effectively making Nomar average to mediocre, injuries making Pedro no longer a front line starter, or injuries possibly cutting Schilling's career down sooner than intended?
2. More important: Clay Bucholz or Justin Masterson and why?
3a. Why do you let yankee fans rip you off in sim leagues
3b. Does bwitty smell like an old person?

1) Alex Rodriguez...Great Man....or the Greatest Man?
2) Game 7 of the world series, any MLB player at your disposal...name your preferred Starter(non-Red Sox). Also, in that game 7, you need a hit in the 9th inning, name your preferred hitter(non-Red Sox).
3) I caught a ground rule double from Kevin Youkilis at Fenway Park last year. Does that make me cool?

(playing off of LJ's second question...) You are making a rotation for your new team (old-skool style). What three current pitchers would you use to make up your rotation? And why?
Tell me one thing about the Red Sox that I probably wouldn't know.

Wow. I'm slightly enthused that a couple of you are playing off my questions. Especially considering I wrote them when I was only half awake.

1. If you had to trade either of the following pitchers: Masterson, Lester, Buchholz....
Who would you trade and why?
2. Why does the god damn Red Sox Nation have to invade every single *()#&%n stadium? Does it seem like its getting out of control at all?
3. If you were to plan a cross country trip through the US and Canada. Which five stops would you make on the way?

1. Who is the worse manager: Jimy Williams or Grady Little?
2. Can you recall anyone ever having been less deserving of a World Series ring than Eric Gagne?
3. If you could for once go back in time and prevent either the trade of Babe Ruth to the Yankees or Len Bias' death, which do you choose?
