With the Rangers so far 12-9 July, and the Angels cooling off of late, Texas has managed to gain 3 games in the AL West standings since I last updated this thread. They now trail the Angels by 13 games.

After taking 2 out of 3 games from the Angels in, umm... I guess they are still in Anaheim, the Rangers pulled to 3-3 on the season and trail the Angels by half a game for the division lead.

Thanks to the Rangers 10-1 win over the Mariners yesterday, they are no longer in last place, at least not by themselves. Texas is now tied with Seattle for last in the AL West with a 14-20 record and 7.5 games out of first place. The Rangers seem to be on an upswing right now having won 7 of their last 11 games.

The Rangers have won three straight games and seven of their last eleven to reach the .500 mark for the season. But they now trail the Angels by 4 games in the AL West.

The Rangers split a four game set with Cleveland 2-2 to maintain a .500 record on the season, but still lost 1.5 games on the Angels in the division. It doesn't help that both the Angels and A's went 3-0 in that time.

With the exception of the Mariners, who continue to lose, there has been very little movement in the division the last couple of weeks. Over the last 9-10 games for each team the A's gained half a game on the Angels and the Rangers lost half a game and now trail by 7.

Over their last 4 games the Rangers have gone 4-4 but have fallen another game and a half behind the Angels in the division. They are now 8.5 games out of first place.
