Michael Young came into the game replacing Mark Loretta at second base in the 5th inning. Young was hitless in his first AB but then he came up with the American League trailing 2-1 in the 9th inning. Trevor Hoffman was on trying to close out the game for the National League. Hoffman got 2 quick outs but then ran into trouble. Paul Konerko singled and Troy Glaus double to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. Michael Young was up next. Hoffman got 2 quick strikes out him but Young then smashed a 2-run triple putting the American League up 3-2. Mariano Rivera shut the door on the NL giving the AL the win, and Michael Young the All-Star Game MVP.

Being one of the best underrated players in the game doesn't help.
Hopefully this 2-run triple will make whoever watched the game realize just how good he is, considering he does that for the Rangers almost on a daily basis.
