    Player Mulder is back

Mark Mulder has finally been taken off the DL, and will pitch out of the bullpen for now. The Cardinals wanted him to start today, but they are going to try him in the bullpen first. I think this is a good move. Boggs has been doing well for us, and Mulder hasn't pitched much in a year. This will give him a chance to get out there and feel the rush again. Instead of having to last 5 or 6 innings, he can pitch to a few batters at a time until he is ready for the rotation. The Cardinals need a lefty in the bullpen anyways now that Randy Flores went down. It's just nice having Mulder back on the team. Now we can see what he can do.

    Who cares?
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Mulder pitched a scoreless ninth in his first appearance of the year. He walked one and struck out one.

Good to see this guy back. He seems like he has been out for like an eternity.

    Re: Mulder is back

Cardinals manager Tony La Russa announced Sunday that Mark Mulder will rejoin the starting rotation Wednesday against the Phillies.
Uh oh. "He’s starter material and we have a spot in the rotation," La Russa said. "He’s the guy who fits it best." Funny that La Russa would come to that conclusion, seeing as Mulder has served up two runs on four hits over 1 1/3 innings since he was activated. He wasn't even an effective starter in the minors. This just screams trouble.
