Daytona 500 PickEm's

Its that time of the year, when we brush off the six pack, grab our Toby Keith CD's and get ready for the start of another racing season. The grand-daddy of them all, the Daytona 500.

The game is simple, you pick a driver to win.
Here's the starting line-up...Jayski's NASCAR Silly Season Site - Lineup and Qualifying Info

I know most, if not all aren't the biggest racing fans, but it could be good to see if anyone can pull a rabbit out of the hat of 43 different drivers.

If there's enough interest I may even keep track of the finish of the picked drivers, and create some sort of points system out of this.

For now though, go ahead and pick a winner. And I'll pick later on so I can give you guys a chance

Of course Jeff Gordon is a choker. He's only won the second most races all-time. And only four championships. He obviously doesn't know how to drive a race car, or to win races. He's only won six races at Daytona. And only three Daytona 500's.

And of course being hungry after having several disappointing seasons causes you to lose. Winning the Twin 150 at Daytona three days before the race definitely is another big reason he might lose.

Also, racing for the best team in NASCAR probably puts him at a big disadvantage, and having teammates who are great at Daytona has to hurt him.

Having a great knowledge of drafting at a track where drafting is most important will probably make it difficult for him to win. And starting in the third position may even make it near impossible. You're right...

Or maybe you should just stick to hockey.
