Watching these fights makes me feel good about watching WEC tonight.
The two headline fights, were terrible. Smith didn't get his full 5 mins, and "Slice" looked like a slice of turds. I agree with Dana White, when he thinks that BJ Penn could be this "Street Fighter".
Which is funny, cause "Street Fighter 4" was a sponsor. I got Ken winning by Shoryuken at .45 in the first round over "Slice"

The doctors ruined the final two fights.
Then you have T-shirts or shirts that you received as a gift or you bought when you were drunk or in the mood to just buy something. Those are the Carl Pavano shirts. -Bill Simmons
Second, I'd slap NYGF because he just seems to have it coming for him. I swear man you wouldn't last 5 minutes in California before you got your ass kicked. So I'd be doing him a service too. -hot corner gurl

I thought they said the doctor stopped it when Kimbo smashed that guy's cauliflower ear?
Either way, Slice was either going to knock the dude out or that dude was going to put Slice on the mat and likely win the scoring.

no doctor in sight, ref stopped it on his own
they wanted Kimbo to win in anyway
edit: it would have helped if he had his ear drained before the fight too

they should have never stood them up in the 2nd round, Kimbo would have lost if it kept going like it should have

I question the ear draining? What was the trainers, doctors, and what not thinking. Did Gary Shaw pay him to not have it drained, than told the ref to stop the fight as soon as it was busted?
There are soooooo many questions here that it makes my head hurt.
P.S. WEC proved showed a great show last night too. No gimicks, just great fights, and some great fighters. IMO it makes for a much better show.

WEC was so great (outside of that boring 1st fight), the 2 title fights had a lot of back and forth action

Re: Gus Johnson is calling the MMA fights on CBS -

This quickly became WCW.
Bimbo turning his back on Shamrock at the weigh in, leading to a shove by Shamrock, which meant the whole room had to separate the two and God knows how many of Bimbo's bodyguards are felons, murderers, rapists, etc. anyways, Shamrock looks old and decrepit, prolly has flabby man boobs, channeling his inner Ric Flair.
Then, a little cut knocks Shamrock out so ..Bimbo has to face a guy with a weird name. It's like when someone in the WWE gets suspended for drugs/steroids/etc. right before a big match during PPV.. he's mysteriously replaced by a guy you didn't want to see.
AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, Frank Shamrock questioned Ken's loyalty and felt it was a mark on the Shamrock family name.
Vince McMahon has entered the MMA
