I disagree, I dont think Nash deserved any of those MVPs, Shaq deserved it on 04-05, in 05-06 Kobe deserved it more than Nash IMO.

And to be honest with you guys, the NBA MVP has become a joke IMO, there is no set criteria on who/what is an MVP.

Nash deserved them. The suns don't matter if they stuck with Stephon Marbury. And if you argue Barbosa could run them, you must watch some other NBA league.

Yes there is, it's the concept of THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. That's all you need to know. You pick the player most valuable to their team. You don't have to have any set minimums or anything. It's simply the most valuable player

I will succumb to the idea that it is arguable whether or not Nash deserved his first. But in 05-06, Nash did not have Stoudamire. He was the leader of a team that was only him and Marion. What you have to realize is that the MVP is not about scoring. The ball has to get to Marion and Stoudamire, and Barbosa or Marbury would not do that as consistently.

Kobe can do that, but he wasn't really doing that before this season.

Then tell me why Stockton didn't get any MVPs in his great career? Both are similar players, 20 ppg, 10 apg, except Stockton played defense, NBA's alltime steals and assist leader.

No there isn't you got players winning MVP award based on the best record, not based on numbers, if that logic is true, Arod and Jimmy Rollins dont deserve to win the MVP awards because there teams didn't have the best record in there leagues.
Micheal Jordan and Allen Iverson lead the league in scoring while winning the MVP award.
Kobe should have won it in 05-06 but he didn't because allot of voters hold his Colorado incident against him.

And Stockton only had one superstar in Malone his whole career, and yet he never even got consideration for one.

And all Nash has been doing is beating less superior teams in the regular season and losing to superior teams in the postseason.

MVP doesn't take into account the postseason, technically. Also, you made my point. MJ won, now Kobe will.

I wasn't arguing that Kobe deserves to win the MVP this year, I was only arguing why Nash didn't deserve his MVPs and how the MVP system is flawed in the NBA.
