2009 Draft Info (Please Read)

I know it's 2008, but I thought that we could get started on the 2009 draft early. What better time than the present? We're going to be doing something different this time. Kingdom_of_Zito had an idea for the draft that I like, but I want to take it a step further. Would you expect anything less? lol If this works out, then we may be doing more drafts this way. The theme of the draft will be "characters from movies and tv shows". How am I going ot take it a step further? Well... everyone in the league will be making the draft class. I will be starting a thread for you to post the players that you create with the format that I want them to be made in. You create everything from their name, age, ratings, ect. I will enter the created players into the draft class next season when the draft class is generated by the game. Let me know what you think of the idea in this thread. The "2009 draft class" thread will be only for created players.

no I didn't...KoZ did a semi-themed draft that had some movie characters...I've done a wrestler draft. Next year will be a GI Joe draft and the following year will be a Family Guy draft.

When I ran TSSL after redsfan disappeared, I created a hodge podge of characters, mostly comic book characters. But a few were Stallone characters, and other things. Movie characters was my ultimate idea for a draft.

Is there a limit? So basically, we're going to have the greatest and deepest ammy draft in the history of OOTP?


Normally I'd be fully against such an absurd concept, but then again our minor leagues blow, so, hey... HOLY COW!

There is no limit, but I have the right to review and change any and all ratings.

So it won't be the deepest ever. lol I just want to give everyone a chance to be involved with creating the draft class.

BTW... created players cannot be ML ready. This is an amateur draft, and the players must fit that mold. I will change ratings to reflect that, but I will leave the bio info intact.

Then again, maybe I should ask Giantsfan to do a draft list since all we are getting are super players. lol

I think it would be better if you only let us create one player each. If not, teams could get reallllly out of hand down the line.

I think it'd be best if you let us provide the names/bio info but let GF and/or yourself handle the ratings.

That's pretty much what Prov did with the wrestler draft in TSSL and it worked out well.
