The Seattle Times is reporting that Erik Bedard likely "won't get on a mound until August."

Bedard didn't throw over the All-Star break and won't attempt to play catch until Monday. "We're not looking at trying to pitch him before the 31st (of July)," manager Jim Riggleman said. "It's really all going to be based on how he feels. The 31st is kind of irrelevant when a guy's got a tender arm."

With the timing of this, makes you wonder if any teams are going to target him now in trade talks, or if Seattle is going to even make him available knowing that they won't get near what they gave up.

Seattle is probably going to keep him now. But this has been total farce of a season. Our Diva of an Ace is hurt yet again.

That trade just keeps looking worse and worse!! Now the M's are stuck with him unless they put him on waivers.

I doubt Bedard would clear waivers but I've seen crazier things

well, he started his come back by throwing in the outfield. I bet he won't be in a game until September at some point.
