Surprise Team In Bedard

The Mariners are after Erik Bedard, the Tacoma News Tribune reports. Larry LaRue believes the Mariners would have to offer Adam Jones, Brandon Morrow and Jeff Clement to pull off a Bedard deal. That price sounds about right, though the Orioles may prefer Wladimir Balentien to Clement with Matt Wieters on the way as a catcher of the future.

Bedard and Hernandez would be a sick 1-2 combo either way you rank them. O's would be getting two good prospects and a decent pitcher. M's would be wise to do this considering what LA has done already this offseason.

I see them parting with Clement. I'd say its a 90% chance he goes.

I would seriously consider this if I was Seattle, they need to make this kind of splash.
