The similarites between the 1995 Mariners and 2007 Mariners.

Both have a superstar (Griffey/Ichiro), A young guy just starting his career before blowing up (ARod/Adam Jones if he stays healthy). The rotation is iffy at best after one pitcher. (see below)

The M's had a more stable #4 (Weaver) than the 1995 version.

Then you look at the closer (Charlton only 14 SV but 1.51 ERA, Putz 37 SV, 1.35 ERA) and it makes you think. Both team have the never say die attitude and even the teams they were chasing were the same (Yanks, Angels, Indians). Am I the only one that thinks this is possible?
