Two out. One more to go. And then Wilson hits the batter. Two on, two out, top of the ninth, 6-3 Giants lead.

Wilson gets the final out by striking out PH Catso. Giants get the win. Correia gets a ND, Espineli gets the win, and Wilson gets his 27th save. Final score, 6-3.

That's just the Beach Boy trying to entertain.
Nah, but seriously, that was a win the Giants needed. Especially against the Nationals, a team even worse than the Giants.

Haha there was a running joke about that in all of the newspapers here when the Nats first came into town. It was like "All of the Giants' people must be thinking 'Finally! A team worse than us!'" There was a hilarious cartoon that they made too...hopefully I can dig it up off their website cuz it was fuuuunny (no offense to any Giants fans, of course).

Well, no dig to Giants fans, but their team has more than a few holes to fill. I'm sure most of them realize they're not a playoff team this year.

We realize that the Giants are a real contender but they are playing better than everyone expected and could have done a lot better with a smart manager.
Wilson makes it interesting but it was a good win and yes Vizquel hit the ball. All I can say is THAT ITS ABOUT ****ING TIME!!! Now sit down Omar, let some yuonger guys take over.

I only caught the last three innings but Matt Cain was on fire today. He only had four strikeouts but only gave up four hits in a complete game shutout!!! Holm went 2-3 in his first game back and called a shutout!! He should have never need sent down. Roberts had a great first game of the year too going 2-4 with the games only RBI. Roberts will get more playing time due to Lewis' bunion on his foot. Castillo played second and Burriss at SS. I liked that. Cain through 114 pitches to get through nine innings. He usually does that getting through five. He lowered his ERA to 3.82!!

The Giants are getting a lot of media love over here. It was a great win for them today. Swept the Nats out of town. Now the D-backs are coming in. If the Giants can play a solid series, then they could make up a lot of ground in the standings...

Cain was great today. Kept his cool the entire game, kept his pitch count down, and only a few time threw over 91 MPH. He was in control the entire game even when a bad call went against him.

For sure. You're only seven games back, and you have a much better chance of catching up with the D-backs than my A's do of catching the Angels.

Sad but true. If the Giants could sniff .500, I will be happy.

You very well should be. Although their currently 15 games under, so it'll take more work to get up over .500 that it will to catch up with Arizona IMO.
