Sorry I haven't been around to start this thread on time. The Giants have taken the first two games with Lincecum and Sanchez pitching gems. Giants won the first game 10-1 and the second game 6-0. Giants are currnetly losing the third game 2-0 in the 4th.

Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.70 career ERA, but has won just 29 of his 95 starts.
The Giants' bats have broken out in this series. Bowker hit his first ever grand slam yesterday. But then again, the Nats pitching isn't all that great either, but either way it's a great boost of morale and hopefully you guys can keep it up.
Giants win 6-3 and Zito gets his second win of the year Molina, Rowand, Winn and Durham are now all hitting over .300. Wilson got his league tying 17th save. Giants have won three in a row and Cain will be on the hill to try and complete the sweep.

Second win of the year for Zito...who knows, at this rate he may finish above .500. But congrats to the Giants. They've found a way to win, and hopefully they can keep it up because it's a great story.
Zito with a .500 record would be one hell of a turn around but just can;t see it but will gladly accept it. The Dbacks have really cooled off and the Giants are only six games back Cain gives us a good chance to make a clean sweep. Just hope he can start making adjustments and commanding his pitches better.

I don't think that Cain will have a problem rebounding...atleast he shouldn't. He's facing a relatively easy lineup which should hopefully help him out.
Giants lead 3-1 after five. Randy Winn has driven in two of those runs and Durham has scored two of those runs. Molina drove in the other one. Cain has looked good striking out five and walking just one. He has only giving up four hits and thrown 64 pitches through five. He might just get to the 7th

Giants still lead 3-1 after six. Cain has 67 strikes to 25 balls!! This is the Cain we want to keep seeing. I know this is the Nats but Cain should always be able to do this.

Cain couldn't quite get through seven innings so we will have to settle for 6 1/3. Still 3-1 but runners are on the corners for the Nats with Yabu coming in. Cain made good pitches but the Nats hitters started swinging at balls a foot outside and getting hits. Bullpen better shut this down for Cain and get this sweep!!!
