Eugenio Velez has 11 stolen bases on the year and will be considered for the third base job.
Rich Aurilia will either start at first or third but due to Ortmeier's struggles this spring it looks like Aurilia will start at first.
Ryan Rohlinger has made the jump from the minor league camp to the major league camp to audition for the third base job. Rohlinger has not played over Class A ball and hit .235 with 31 doubles, 18 home runs and 78 RBIs last year.
Here's something I found very interesting:
Ian Stewart went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk Thursday versus the Cubs.
Stewart has four homers in his last 15 at-bats and is hitting .289/.370/.632 for the spring. It's not going to be enough to get him a job, but he's certainly not hurting his trade value. He's a player the Giants should be focusing on in their search for a third baseman.

Atkins or Stewart would do just fine. I have suggested both in the past but this is a great idea. I don't care if we are trading within our division, either guy will help this team.
