Noah Lowry pitched five innings and allowed six runs -- three earned -- in the loss to the Brewers on Wednesday.
Lowry has given up five runs in each of his last three starts, and he's up to 16 walks in 23 1/3 innings this spring. The poor command could linger into the season as he readily admits that he's struggling to find his release point.
He says his injury last year to his oblique has really messed with his mechanics. There is no need for him to be pitching in the Majors until he figures this out. Sanchez or Hennessey could take his spot until he is ready. Our first week and a half are against teams in our division and we need every opportunity to win and start the year off right. Lowry doesn't help our situation as of yet. His ERA is actually lower than Morris' and right around Cain's but both had rocky starts and have found themselves. Pretty sad when Russ Ortiz is your best looking pitcher so far. Oh yeah, Ortiz was just named the fifth starter.

2008 Giants > Padres

Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts.

**** man, I hope he gets his mechanics figured out, cause when he's on, he's a rock solid pitcher, hopefully everything will pan out.
