Hennessey got his second win of the year and bailed out the Giants once again. As of yesterday, the Giants didn't have a starter for tonight's game. Brad comes up big and gets the Giants back to .500 and 3 games back of the Dodgers/Dbacks. Brad gave up three runs (all solo shots) and struck out six through six. Matheny had a good night going 2-4 with 2 RBI. Alou also drve in two. Grissom continues to struggle as he went 0-4. Durham did not start but did play second later in the game in a double switch. The bullpen actually looked good as Brower, Eyre and Munter all had Holds and Walker got his second save of the year. A sweep of the struggling Astros would be great.

Al Levine was sent to the 15 day DL with a neck strain. This made room for Hennsessy on the roster. Also today was Felipe Alou's 70th birthday. Way to get a win for the old man.

2008 Giants > Padres

Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts.

Hennessey showed he belongs in the rotation. He's been overlooked for a while with the hype of Williams and Foppert. Whatever happened to Ryan Jensen, who took the starting job from Ainsworth back in 2002?

Counting down to: The end of Andruw Jones's contract with the Dodgers:
163 games
