I would have gone with Dennis Dixon until his bad knee injury last week against Arizona.

Hawaii won 37-30. Brennan actually played 2 snaps against Nevada last week but was still so woozy that he was kept out the remainder of the game.

Brennan wasn't woozy..........the team doctor told the coach that he felt like he didn't want him in......but said he could play........Colt said he wanted to play the whole game, and was on the sidelines dressed and going nuts trying to get in the game

I was so pissed that Nevada lost that game against Hawaii. I think they are totally overrated. If you look at their non-conference schedule compared to who Fresno State had scheduled, you can't tell me that Hawaii should be ranked at this point. But they are for no other reason than being undefeated.

They've laid waste to everyone put in front of them for the last 3 years.......they are NOT overrated......and that school has to travel through more timezones in a season than Fresno could dream of.........think about that for a second before you berate them.........

But have you seen their non-conference schedule?
Northern Colorado (1-11)
@ UNLV (2-9)
Charleston Southern (5-6)
Washington (4-7)
Total: 12-33 combined record of those teams and 3 out of 4 are at home.
Let's compare, shall we.
Fresno State
Sacramento State (3-8)
@ Texas A&M (6-5, ranked 23rd at the time)
@ #17 Oregon (8-2)
Kansas State (5-6)
Total: 22-21
Now, Fresno State has played 4 Top 25 teams (Texas A&M, Oregon, Boise State, Hawaii), 3 of 4 were on the road (Texas A&M, Oregon, Hawaii). Hawaii has played 1 (Boise State) and it's at home.
FRESNO STATE SCHEDULE

@ Oregon L 54-21 (1-2)

@ Nevada W 49-41 (3-2, 2-0)

@ Hawaii L 37-30 (6-4, 5-2)

That's one of the better games I've seen all year. A HUGE 4th down play from Arkansas kept them in the game. So, if Kansas beats Missouri on Saturday, are they the new #1?
