Not sure I like this signing.......hope I come to be wrong about this.......but I'm thinking that his hip is a bigger issue than we know, and that next years pick we'd have gotten for him would have been better
Get'r done KT........... 2008 Predictions -Prior ( if he proves healthy ) signs a multi-year extension in Sept. - not healthy, no contract for you -Gerut makes team, and has a great season  -Edmonds was a total BUST |

Yup.....something like 22nd pick overall .....in a much much much deeper class

IMO they are hoping he rakes early and often, and if so he's trade bait........I doubt that he'll ever see a Padres uni.......or that they expect him too.
