Best closer in the history of baseball.......I'm not a big stats guy for everyday players regarding certain stats......but for parttime players they speak volumes and his simply don't lie....

I always was a fan of this guy. I always kind of bunched him with Rob Nen because they were or are dominant closers, about the same age (with Nen having a couple years advantage), and got started about the same time. I always thought they would be competing for the saves record together. Well, at least Hoffman is still going strong. Being only 6 short I think it's safe to say, congrats to the future charter member of the 500 save club on an incredible career and still going strong well into his late 30's.
