This is a discussion on Rotoworld's Outlook within the San Diego Padres forum at Strike 3 Forums; He said I was off the subject when clearly I wasn't....
There are OFers in AAA that are just as proven as Kouzmanoff.
I think he read this to mean you thought Kouz was an OFer....that's the way I read it also....
but that still doesn't explain what you're talking about in the posts following this one....

Get'r done KT........... 2008 Predictions
-Prior ( if he proves healthy ) signs a multi-year extension in Sept. - not healthy, no contract for you
-Gerut makes team, and has a great season
-Edmonds was a total BUST
For my sake ? What was for my sake ? Or are you talking about someone else ?

I'm not happy with the BJ trade...especially considering we don't have a power hitting corner OFer in the farm system ready to take over out there...and it happens to be our biggest hole....I would MUCH rather have seen BJ out there and the franchise say it's his job to lose, than trade him and go with Sledge....
What I had to say was clearly on the subject. You saying there is no one inthe farm system to take over when there are two guys in AAA who have had good numbers over the past two seasons who are just as proven as the almighty Kouzmanoff. And no he didn't think that I was saying Kouz was an OFer.
2008 Giants > Padres
Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts.
Who Cust ? He's been talked about, but confidence isn't high

He's no young prospect but he was called up last year and had four whole at bats. Basically he is a guy with some pop in his bat (30 homers 77 RBI) with great ob base skills. That's probably his strong point. He has a great eye. He's 28 so somewhat younger than Sledge

and BJ is what....25 and considered to be a 5 tool player...whether or not he is I wont debate....but he was our best OF prospect, and since we didn't get a stud OFer via FA or trade, I would rather have seen us keep BJ and give him his shot.....
From what I've heard most think Sledge > Cust.....so I doubt he'll get a chance unless injuries happen or Sledge/Cruz just fail miserably

...and for the record....I wouldn't be against giving Cust his shot to win the starting job during the Spring.....I hope it's wide open, and goes to the best player....I can't imagine they are satisfied or set, no matter what they say

Notwithstanding the fact that PFF never mentioned Kouzmanoff in this thread...I pretty much got what you
