[rant]So they call the Indians home opener against the Mariners for a 1:00 start tomorrow.

It was the top of the inning,bases loaded for the Mariners,and a 1-2 count on thier hitter with a light snow coming down.The batter tells the ump that he "can't see the ball in the snow" (something Hargrove TOLD the hitter to say) and then Hargrove *****ed that the game should be called.So the postponed it AGAIN (third time) and then cancelled it.

Hargrove only did that because he was down 4-0 and it was about to become an official game when the batter became the third out.The umps would then have called it and it would be an Indians 4-0 win.

What the ump should have done is told Hargrove that they'll call the game at the end of the at-bat,leaving the Mariners a chance to tie the game or lose the game right there.The fact that he let Hargrove pressure him into that is bullshit,the ump is a whipped pussy who stuck his tail between his legs.

They should have never played the game to begin with,and should have called it when they had to delay the game a second time only like 10 minutes after restarting.It's bullshit to make the fans sit through that and have there be no outcome when it's that close to being official.[/rant]

That was complete bullshit, how can you honestly call a game with one out to go. Either cancel it before the inning or just let the game finish.

And the HBP that lost the Indians the sweep against the ChiSox (who happen to be my most hated team) was a bunch of bull to while we're at it.

To be called a HBP you have to try and avoid the pitch,which AJ did not dohe jsut stood there and let the ball hit him.It caused the running win to come to the plate...but it should have been an out for cheating.

And just for the record, a HBP is ruled a strike when the batter intentionally tries to get him...if it's going to hit him and he doesn't move, that's perfectly fine. It's when he leans into it that it becomes a problem.
