Mailbag #2 Thread -

Ask away! Give us at least 1 question baseball related, and anything else you'd like to ask us is fair game. If we'll give you a satisfying answer or not is another story...

| League | Team | Div. Titles | Ovr. Record | Season | Playoffs |
|---|
| SBSL | Hyrule Triforce | 1 | 211-145 | 30-22, '10 | 25-12 (2 WS) | | TPSL | Colorado Rockies | 0 | 87-75 | 87-75, '11 | 0 |

Ok, I will leave it in 1 thread this time:
1.) Phil Hughes, Ian Kennedy, Joba Chamberlain
vs
Clay Buchholz, Jon Lester, Jonathan Papelbon
vs
Johnny Cueto, Edinson Volquez, Homer Bailey
which trio is performing best today and which trio has the brightest future. I do understand that a few of these guys are in the minors or have had limited playing time. So you may have to look at their minor league numbers or projections as well.
2.) Are you guys worried about professional sports in that the overall interest from kids today has dwindled to a serious rate? Should we fear a major decrease in talent because kids are not out playing baseball (or any other sport for that matter) anymore?
3.) What are the best things about S3F the website? Another words, sell lurkers on why they should sign up.

Bigger surprise: Barry Bonds not being signed or the Detroit Tigers being completely miserable?

Are you talking about the Detroit Tigers, the team who has won 8 of their last 11 games? Those Tigers?

Alright, fine.
Bigger surprise: Barry Bonds not being signed or the Wayne Krivsky getting clipped so soon into the season?

1. In your opinion, is it better to use your best relief pitcher right after your starting pitcher to hold a lead or tie in say, the 6th inning, or to wait until the 8th/9th inning to use him when the outcome of the game is clearer?
2. Your team holds the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Who would you rather have making the selection: Elgin Baylor or Al Davis?
3. If Elton Brand, who missed the majority of the past regular season because of a torn Achilles tendon, chooses to opt out of his contract, should the Clippers make every attempt to re-sign him or let him leave?
Counting down to: The end of Andruw Jones's contract with the Dodgers:
163 games
