I hope you guys are right, but it just doesn't sound like my Mets are anywhere near making a significant deal. I mean, they won't give up prospects, and the other teams(Mariners, etc) won't accept anything less. The Mets won't be able to get anyone, not Ibanez, Manny, Dunn, Fuentes, no one, unless they change their thinking. I predict no moves for them.

That's what I've been hearing. I don't know whether it's valid or not, but whether they get Tex or not I think Arizona is going to be making the most moves.

I don't think Tex will go to Arizona unless either the D-Backs decide they will part with Conor Jackson (which I doubt will happen) or the Braves decide their desire to trade Tex outweighs their want of Jackson, and they'll settle for something else. I just really don't see either of those happening. It may, but I don't think it's very likely.
Anaheim's front office said they're not doing anything.
I say Boston gets a reliever first.

The problem is that the D-Backs' only two intiguing prospects(according to most reports) are Scherzer, and another young stud pitcher, neither of who seems to be going anywhere. So, I don't know if they can build a good enough deal around Tracy

The question is will that be enough. I mean, Owings had a great start, but has slowed down. Tracy is good, but not Jackson. It still comes down to the prospects, and I honestly don't know how much Atlanta is looking for. Not that it matters, because Tex is basically a 2 month rental anyway.

Jackson has never hit more than 20 HRs, Tracy has hit 20+ twice while hitting for average. When he came back from injuries, he never had a position to play which has hurt his development. Not much difference between Jackson and Tracy really except the strikeouts. Owings would be a draw in Georgia and fill the back end of the rotation. Two MLB ready players with a could of AA guys should be enough to peak interest.
Giants > Padres
Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.70 career ERA, but has won just 29 of his 95 starts.

Could Boston interest ATL in a Manny for Tex swap as Manny and Tex will both be Class A's... if boston throws a mid level prospect in there it could be tempting as they could then ship manny off elsewhere
