Eric(Tyler,TX): Are the astros still trying to make anymore trades? Any idea what they are doing down there?

SportsNation Jonah Keri: (2:08 PM ET ) Drayton McClane and Ed Wade are doing what any smart team 13 1/2 games out of first would do: Trading away prospects and blowing millions of dollars on mediocre pitchers. Maybe the Astros get a compensation pick for Randy Wolf. Other than that, no idea what they're thinking. That franchise is in bad shape.

Sorry KOZ but you can no longer make fun of Peavy's lack of run support unless you want mass hysteria. Its kind of a touchy subject for some reason

Giants > Padres

Hell, didn't David Wells throw a perfecto?

I went with Verlander, when he is on his game his stuff is unhittable.

Why's that?

He isn't "dominating?"

Let's look at the past 4: Johnson, Cone, Wells, Rogers.

13, 10, 11, 8.

Wang could strike out 8 on a good day...he also has the stamina to pitch 9 and he gets a lot of ground balls...why is he a worse candidate than anyone you posted?

It doesn't matter how hittable a pitcher is, it matters how effective they are, and Wang, since he's so hittable, may be the most effective pitcher in baseball.

He has a better shot than Bedard, Haren, actually a bunch of these ****ers
