Ichiro's a legitimate MVP candidate. On internet forums, people like myself have a tendancy to lower the value of BA, and it has a fair amount of value. Hell, his BA would be a good OBP.
Ichiro's still a beast. Don't think he's on the level of A-Rod/Mags, but still beast
Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

Anyone who thinks Morneau didn't deserve it is fooling only themselves. But for this year, I am going with Magglio Ordonez. He is doing everything right this year and has been the backbone to that Detroit team.

So, why exactly does Player B deserve it over Player A, and C-J? And if you say "because his team made the playoffs", I won't take you seriously until you admit Barry Bonds wasn't the MVP of the league in 1993, 2001, and 2004.
Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

No because he lifted his team offensively and you admit that he deserved it just as much as everyone else. Bonds was a no doubter and kept his team in contention until the last week. I don't buy into the "making it into the playoffs" jive. If a guy keeps a team in contention, he is deserving too. Morneau got hot and the Twins got on his back. So shhhhhhh

David Ortiz imo should have won the MVP in 06, he was destroying the ball all year, but since it was clear it wasn't going to be a DH, Morneau was my pick to win the MVP, after looking at all the position players. Ortiz finishing 3rd in voting was a shame.
1B or DH, imo it barely matters, poor defensive players get stick in LF or 1B in the end. Manny can win the MVP playing shit poor defense in LF but Ortiz can't win it because of a rule allowed by Major League Baseball?
And playoffs shouldn't have matter, it didn't for A-Rod with Texas (who did deserve it), after that was the case, you have to throw that out reason.

you ask me
S3SL: Toronto Blue Jays' GM - still looking for a WS ring
SBSL: Detroit Tigers' GM - the new blood
TSSL: Boston Red Sox's GM - World Series Champs in 2009; contending in 2017
TPSL: Toronto Blue Jays' GM - WC race

Exactly, if your going to use defense against guys who play DH, 1B, then you cant give the MVP to pitchers either, since they cant hit either, also they only play once every 5 games.

Morneau was the best player in all of baseball when the Twins made their run. Liriano was gone for two months, Mauer got the hits and Morneau drove him in. Even Mauer said he was the MVP.

OK, I split the 2006 stats into a subsection
A. Post-ASB (when the Twins made most of their run)
B. Minimum of 200 PAs (more than a part-time player)
C. Sorted by OPS
D. AL Only
Care to guess where Justin Morneau ranks on that list? Hint, it's not first.
Just so you all don't have to go look it up, it was 15th. The following players were ahead of him
Ortiz, Hafner, Guerrero, Cano, Sexson, Teixeira, Guillen, Teahen, Dye, Thomas, Norton, Thome, Sizemore, A. Rodriguez
Other stats. BA (5th), OBP (12th), SLG (20th), HR (T-27), RBI (who he drove in) (4th, 2nd on his own team).
Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

I wouldn't admit that because I would be wrong.
