The question's pretty self-explanatory. Which team is going to come in first in the AL East. Feel free to post full division predictions or if you believe the WC is going to come from the division.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

It is unnecessary to list the Baltimore Orioles and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Tampa Bay is poised on the edge of Greatness, and thier laughablities will lead them to overcome the turmoil brought down from several years of clown shoe management, and SWEEP thru the East as the Powerhouses of Years gone idly abuse each other...

I'm biased obviously. But I gotta ride the Yanks until they lose one.

Yanks until they get beat. I love would to see Toronto, Baltimore or Tampa Bay take a shot at the division though.

Only way the Jays will win if two things happen, they stay healthy and just not the pitching (Thomas and Glaus are my main question marks for injury), and the other is that can they actually put together some long winning streaks during the season, the longest one last season was only 4 games, yet they finished 2nd last season, that will have to improve, but they didn't have any long losing streaks either.

I can see Halladay (didn't miss much last season) and Burnett having a full season, I'm just worried about everyone else.

The Sox and the Jays have to prove to me they can stay healthy and actually beat the Yankees before I pick either to win the East. I think the Big Three will be within 10 games of one another either way

As much as it hurts to do so, I picked the Yanks. It's not like we have a shot, although we aren't going to be as bad as everyone thinks.

I honestly can't call it a three-team battle until Toronto does anything...when's the last time they made the playoffs anyway?

I believe they havent made the playoffs since the early 90s.

I think the division is a toss up, But I will give the edge to Boston because of Matsuzaka, Fish you make a good point about staying healthy, but the NY have to be equally concerned about health issues, you got Wong starting on the DL, Pettitte and Pavano both have had injury problems in there careers.

Boston with Matsuzaka, Schilling, Beckett, they arguably have the best 1-3 starters in the Majors IMO, also there offense is still the same, Crisp and Drew at the top, followed by Mann Ram and Ortiz.

Only concern I have with the NY is there pitching staff, Besides Wong and Mussina, you got Pettitte(he was good with NY, but last year he had a ERA over 4.00 in NL) also you got Carl Pavano who hasn't pitched for over a year.

1993, came close to making the wild card in 98 but Boston held on after the Jays went on a 17 game winning streak late in the season. Last season the Jays finished 2nd in the division and added more pieces this off-season, namely Thomas and Ohka.

More about the injuries to NY, I saw Pettitte is hurt, and Karstens left today's ST game with elbow stiffness, together with Wong out for April, that doesn't leave much there and I heard Pavano likely to go opening day starter.
