feel free to state why you voted the way you did.

I voted for the Yankees, but the Red Sox could win it just as easily I think...both will probably make the playoffs and if they don't they should be ashamed with the highest and second highest payrolls.

oh, believe me I'd be more than happy if Toronto won...I'm just not convinced that they will.

I went with the Blue Jays as well. I really think they have a good shot at being better than the Yanks and BoSox. I am really high on their ability to pitch with the addittion of Burnett and BJ Ryan. Their offense is very talented and they can become that team that takes over the division with a slip from the talented forces in the division.
I am calling a Blue Jays division winner this year.

As of today the way the Sox are pitching I;d favor them but I assume at least beckett will hit a wall and the yanks have gotten some better SP so i think over the long haul we'll eek out another div title.

With the way the Sox have played recently, with what seems to be a vastly improved bullpen with some capable SPs (reminds me somewhat of 2004, with Beckett in Pedro's spot, Clement in Arroyo's spot, and Wells/Dinardo in Lowe's spot) and a good (not like the past year, but still good) offense, I cannot pick against them right now with my bias.
Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

Red Sox have a better pitching staff and a better defense than the Yankees. Gotta go with the Sawx.

Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts.

went with boston because toronto spent money on the wrong guys and I don't want to see new york win shit
Second, I'd slap NYGF because he just seems to have it coming for him. I swear man you wouldn't last 5 minutes in California before you got your ass kicked. So I'd be doing him a service too. -hot corner gurl

Voted for the Red Sox....I would love to see Toronto win in, but they need the rest of their rotation to start pitching, they can't just count on Halladay.
Even if the Yankees make the playoffs, they won't make it out of the first round.....again.

Live free or die. The Yankees are old and/or get hurt (RJ, Bernie, Sheffield, Moose, etc old and Godzilla, Damon [Just Wait, It'll Happen] among others hurt).
Boston is too inconsistent. Its just Manny being Manny, Beckett will get a blister, Boomer's arm will fall off and he will eat Doug Mirabelli, in turn Tim Wakefield will throw 10 wild pitches a game, Schilling will get a bloody jock, and Big Papi will realize hes more like Cecil Fielder, not Albert Pujols.
Toronto is ripe. Vernon Wells forever.
