Final Thoughts: Tough loss to start the year, Perez wasn't at his best today and it showed. Sadly, White blew the game wide open with some below average pitching, I wish the team would've just let him go, and I've said that all along. Sheets was lights out and Cirillo came out of nowhere with a good game. We'll get them back on Wednesday with Kip on the mound.

Pirates Player of the Game: Ryan Vogelsong 3 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K

Overall Player of the Game: Jeff Cirillo 2-3, 2B, HR, 2 RBI, BB
