Chicago Cubs 10, Pittsburgh Pirates 8 (12)

The Cubs tagged starting pitcher Tom Gorzelanny for 7 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. Only to watch the Pirates scrap their way to force extra innings. The Cubs scored two in the top of the 12th innings to escape for a 10-8 win over the Pirates

Highlights for the Pirates:
OF Nate McLouth: (3 for 6, 3B, 2 RBIs)- Upped his batting average to a sizzling .448 this season. He is continuing to impress the Pirates faithful in the 1st month of the season.

CA Ryan Doumit: (2 for 4, R)- Also showing early promise in this short season, hitting .458.

The Bullpen minus Evan Meek: (8 2/3 IP, 7 H, 1 ER, 6 K, 2 BB)- A major reason why the Pirates stayed in this game. Only to watch Evan Meek walk everyone in Chicago to lose the game.

Line of the Game: 1 IP, 0 H, 2 ER, 5 BB by Evan Meek in a losing cause.
