Free agent Craig Wilson is open to returning to the Pirates this winter.
Wilson is likely to have to settle for a minor league deal after struggling with the Braves and undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery in June. Wilson said the shoulder was troubling him for two years before the operation. Maybe he'll be better next year if fully recovered.
Pirates might as well do it if it's going to be a minor league deal. He might do well enough to get something worth a damn in a trade next season.

Giants > Padres

Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.70 career ERA, but has won just 29 of his 95 starts.

I don't disagree with this. He could come back for the major-league minimum if he makes the team out of spring training, or go back to the minors if he doesn't.
They won't have to make a roster move unless he is worth keeping around.

Yeah, he's definately worth a look. Give him between 500 K and 1 M, non guarenteed, make him earn it in the spring.

Having another corner outfielder/1B with some pop never hurts.

Yeah, it's from 2 years ago. I still love him.
