    If they would spend their money on signing Dexter Fowlers or Nick Adenharts, I wouldn't ***** about them wasting money on Reggie Sanders and Joe Randa. God forbid you save some money to talk a kid out of a committment to school.
We've waited too long with the "sign veteran players and hope for best" approach. We've built up a nice system, lets wait for them to all come up. SBSL: Pittsburgh Pirates TSSL: Pittsburgh Pirates TPSL: Phiadelphia Phillies  Yeah, it's from 2 years ago. I still love him.

I can agree with that and I really like that approach. But wouldn't a nice FA signing of a Zito or some bigtime pitcher like that help? I know the future rotation looks solid, but Zito would not get in the way as the ace of this staff.
Not saying that they Pirates would or could sign him. But if they could, would you want to see it?

The Nomar idea last year wasn't a bad one... and I wouldn't mind a Zito to help Snell, Duke and Gorzelanny with their pitching, but he's not coming here, and nobody that good in their right mind should.
