Manager Charlie Manuel announced Thursday than Gavin Floyd and Ryan Madson will have spots in Philadelphia's rotation.
Ryan Franklin will open the season in middle relief. A curveball that looks a lot more like it did two years has keyed Floyd's turnaround this spring and could make him a quality starter for the Phillies. He's not a bad choice in NL-only leagues.

Jon Lieber was pounded for eight runs in 3 1/3 innings by the Cardinals on Monday.
The St. Louis lineup isn't as deep as usual, but you'd have a hard time convincing Lieber of that fact. Lieber gave up lone runs in the first and third. In the fourth, he allowed six hits, five of them singles. He was replaced with the bases loaded and Julio Santana went on to allow all three runners to score

Jimmy Rollins extended his hitting streak to 37 games with a double in his final at-bat Monday against the Cardinals.
Rollins went 0-for-3 against Chris Carpenter before hitting a sac fly off Randy Flores in the sixth. The double came off Adam Wainwright

Jon Lieber rebounded from a rough first outing of the season to hold the Dodgers to two runs over seven innings of work on Sunday, but he was still charged with the loss in a 6-2 game.
Much better. Lieber gave up eight hits and hit a batter while walking one and striking out four. The eight runs in 3 1/3 innings against the Cardinals on Monday isn't of much long-term concern, but you may want to bench him at Coors Field against a hot Rockies' lineup next weekend.

Gavin Floyd worked six innings and allowed three runs in a win over the Braves on Thursday night.
Floyd struggled in his first start against the Dodgers, and another bad outing might have creates some speculation about Ryan Franklin taking his rotation spot. He can relax now, though, especially after Franklin gave up three runs in relief tonight. Floyd's a decent play in NL-only leagues while facing the Nationals and Rockies in his next two starts.
