    Cole Hammels struck out nine in eight scoreless innings to help lead the Phillies to a Game One victory as they beat the Brew Crew 3-1. Hammels was just filthy all day and could have pitched the ninth but they didn't want him to. Hammels gave up just two hits and one walk. Three ****ing baserunners is all they got in eight innings!! Great performance!! It was the first playoff victory since Game 5 of the '93 series.
 2008 Giants > Padres  Pathetic Stat of the Year- Matt Cain has a 3.74 career ERA, but has won just 30 of his 104 starts. |
