Makes you wonder why they didnt just trade Byrnes in the off-season

Oakland's lineup was Eric Byrnes-less for the second game in a row, but manager Ken Macha again cautioned reporters not to read anything into it. According to Macha, the idea had more to do with giving Charles Thomas an opportunity at back-to-back games. "If we don't get Charles the chance to play a couple of days in a row, we can't see what he can do,'' Macha said.
