Chances are, both teams will be sellers rather than buyers approaching the July 31 trade deadline. The Giants would love to unload Edgardo Alfonzo and Ray Durham and must take a stance on Jason Schmidt, who'll be pursued. Ditto with Barry Zito, and it would make sense for the A's to dangle Hatteberg, Erubiel Durazo and one of their three second basemen.

Exactly. We're only like 3 games behind Texas. They've sucked bad lately. Anaheim hasn't been all that consistent. This team is getting right back into this division race
