Damn this was an awesome pitching matcvhup. The losing pitcher Matt Cain was very impressive going 7.0 innings and only allowing 3 earned runs and striking out 11. Rich Harden who got the win was just as impressive going 6.0 innings and allowing zero runs and striking out 9. Very impressive by both starters.

Congrats Brett on winning your bet with you brother.

Yeah both starting pitchers combined for 20 Ks. Very impressive. But it was a few gifts from the Giants that really gave us the win. The two wild pitches and the misplays by Taschner and Rowand helped us a lot, and luckily we were able to capitalize on them and get the runs home.

And yes, winning the bet was very nice. So now I have bragging rights for about, eh, a week and a half until the A's sweep the Giants at home.

A's are winning 4 - 1 right now and have runners on 1st and 3rd with only 1 out in the 6th. Chavez singled in a run, Crosby doubled in a run, and Gonzalez singled in a run. Chavez has 2 RBIs actually.
