I know I'm late (again) but yesterday when I tried to post this thread the whole site crashed on me...so here I am a day later trying to post it agian. Hopefully it works.

Halladay vs Harden
This is again another marquee matchup. In his last start, Halladay pitched his league-leading 5th CG of the season, allowing only one run on four hits while striking out five and walking none. As for Harden, he looked more like his former self in his last start. He scattered two runs on four hits while striking out eight in six innings. Neither pitcher has had much success against eachother/eachother's team, so this should be a very interesting game.

Litsch vs Eveland
This matchup might not be as good of a matchup as tonite's game, but the pitchers are of good quality nonetheless. And they have a lot in common. In Litsch's last start, he pitched his first CG shutout of his career. In Eveland's last start, he pitched his first shutout of his career too, only he allowed one run throughout the sparkling nine innings. He (and Litsch) will be looking to top their previous starts, so look for a low-scoring game.
The Jays are still without their GG CF Vernon Wells, but they just got back SS David Eckstein before yesterday's game. Former Athletics Marco Scutaro had a nice ovation upon his return to the Coliseum, but now with Eckstien back he could see less and less playing time...on the A's side, Thomas apparently strained his left quad while legging out a double. He's scheduled to get an MRI today and is hoping that it is just a minor strain and nothing else. Oh, and happy belated birthday Thomas. The big 4-0 now. Congrats man!
