They really need depth in CF with only having Sweeney and Dinofrio. Do you think Davis will beat them out and become the starter later on in the season after he gets into the system?

I'm not sure if he'll take over starting...Buck might be sent down if he continues to stink it up. For now, I think he's a reserve OF that can play all outfield positions. He was put on the active roster and is expected to be there tomorrow.

I am disappoinyed he's gone but knew he would be picked up. I wouldn't be surprised if Saarloos went across the Bay.

Even so if he is a 4th outfielder he could get some good AB"s with Sweeney in CF and Buck not doing to hot right now. It is good that he can play all the outfield positions.

Davis has a lot of speed and has a great arm to go along with his good defense. He will like all that space in Oakland!

Buck was put on the 15-day DL today. Davis had a great debut with us today. Went 3 for 4 with a triple and a great catch. Hopefully he'll only continue to get better, seeing that he'll be getting more playing time now that Buck is gone.
