Both the A's and Sox did get a compensation package for the games that they missed while in Japan I thought...oh well either way they're back in Oakland now. And I'll be there for opening day. Yay!

Yeah that's what I meant. I thought that they got some money (equivilent to tickets) for all the games they missed. I know the Sox did, and I just assumed the A's would have too...guess not?

why would the Sox get money for the games? they didn't lose home games, we did.

I think the Redsox only got the gate compensation because it was considered there home games that they would have missed. So it was the ticket gate at Fenway that got compensated.

Well screw the money we lost yesterday 2-1. Blanton pitched a great game IMO, our offense just sucked. There was a nice pre-game ceremony though. Dick Williams was there, along with Sal Bando and Terry Steinbach and Joe Rudi and Dave Henderson. It was pretty neat.
