The A's extended their contract for player development with AA Midland today through 2012.

SS Pennington has been called up to AA.

Midland finished in 2nd place for the 1st half. They've started out cold at 2 - 5 for the 2nd half.

Braden and Putnam are both with AAA Sacramento now. Braden has been up and down between Oakland and Sacramento a few times so far.

Midland really fell apart in the 2nd half...overall they're 2 games under .500 now.
