well, at least Duke is used to going more than 1 inning, we have tomorrow off, and Street will be back Friday...so for once it's not a big deal...though I doubt he realized what I just said

A's win 9 - 6, Blanton gets win #15, and Duke gets save #8...Texas is BBQ'd as they have no more head-to-head games with the A's and only gained 1 game this series...they needed to sweep and to get help...a lot of help.

that road trip is 50/50 facing the Devil Dogs and the Twinkies (Drakes Cakes and Hostess respectfully). The home stand after that is going to be huge! 3 against the White Sox, 4 against the Indians, and 3 against the Angels...that takes us to 9/25 where we finish with 3 at Seattle and 4 at LA...we could (and I hope) have the division locked up before that last road trip...
