Jason Giambi flew into New York Thursday, had a driver take him to Northeastern Pennsylvania yesterday, then bounded into the Triple-A Yankees' clubhouse just after 3:30 p.m. Wearing jeans, a black T-shirt and a mini-backpack, the 36-year-old slugger dished out a quick autograph, a hug and a few greetings of "What's up, dude?" Clearly, he was happy to be several steps closer to the majors.

The bench keep improving but hopefully Giambi has to earn his spot back in the lineup unlike Sheff and Matsui a year ago. I felt they ruined the good thing we had going for us and I don't want to see that happen again.

NOOOOOOOO

I don't want to see Giambi in a Yankee uniform this year. Melky in CF, Phillips at 1B, and Damon at DH works perfectly for me.

That has been working well, offensively. Not to mention, Melky is better defensively than Damon.

Dry and Brown you two are pretty much talking for me. Plus now that the Yankees have Betemit we don't really need Giambi. Yes he does add some power but not that much. The milk man will deliver like always.
