Funny, cause Cano's had a miserable year overall. He's picking it up lately tho, but I don't think he deserves it

Thats why the All-Star game is a joke.

I wouldn't say it's a joke, by any means. It's a game for the fans, and the fans vote in who they want to see. I agree that there are many instances where the wrong people get in (as in, not the best player at that position that year.. happens every year with no exceptions.. see Ortiz at 1st base in the AL) but at the same time, the all-star game is for the fans.... and it actually means something now that it decides home field advantage for the world series

Ortiz is the best choice at 1B based on offensive numbers. The fact that the Red Sox put him instead of Youkilis there shouldn't DQ Ortiz.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

He's still under the category, and there's no DH position in the game. By default, he's put at 1B. It's no different than Travis Hafner being the Indians 1B vote, or Jason Giambi as the Yankees 1B vote. And if Youkilis was 1B choice instead, he'd deserve to go amongst players on the ballot, maybe Kotchman or Pena if we go outside the ballot

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

Giambi played a lot more 1B than Ortiz, and I dunno about the other guys

And this is a position judged solely on this year's performance.

Well Giambi isn't, and doesn't have a chance of, being voted into the ASG this year. If Giambi played 2 games at 1B and was an everyday player and went for the ASG, it would be just as bad. You're a clown if you're too stubborn to realize that he shouldn't be at the 1B spot. Look past your team for once
